Trumpeter, bandleader and composer Terence Blanchard, who won a Grammy in the “Best Large Jazz Ensemble” category for his 2007 recording, “A Tale of God’s Will (A Requiem for Katrina), opens the 2008 Stanford Jazz Festival on Friday June 27.
