Idan Raichel burst onto the Israeli music scene in 2002 with his compelling pop-infused work, colored by Ethiopian and Middle Eastern influences. Featuring eight musicians and vocalists from diverse backgrounds the Idan Raichel Project integrates Hebrew and Amharic prayers with Raichel’s passion for jazz and Gypsy music in a style that is timeless and deeply influenced by the diversity of Jewish Israeli culture.
